I had a big non scale victory today. I sat on the hard floor and played jacks with my daughter. It has been so long since I’ve been able to sit on the floor comfortably, or even without my feet falling asleep. Today, the way I was sitting wasn’t on my mind; I was just enjoying playing with my kid.  

I struggled through my arm, butt and thigh challenges this morning. I was pretty sore from yesterday but I pushed through, and earned my 1 activity point.

I had a kind of weird craving for breakfast: a multigrain roll with fresh mozzarella and hummus, 15 Points Plus.

I don’t really know why I was craving such a strange combination, but it reminded me of something I learned in an ecology class in 1997. Rice, beans, and cheese: combine any two to make a complete protein. Maybe it was my body’s weird way of asking for that.

Midmorning snack of a kind bar and apple cinnamon herbal tea. This stuff is great with a ton of sugar + milk. Today I had it with just a teaspoon of sugar. It’s something to get used to, but I think I can adapt. 6 Points Plus.


A chocolate peanut butter Luna bar, 5 Points Plus.


Peaches canned in juice, drained, zero Points Plus.


A vanilla yogurt in the afternoon, 4 Points Plus.


For dinner a big Philly cheese steak salad w/ ranch dressing from Subway, 14 Points Plus.

And I bought these for tomorrow but oops, I accidentally ate them tonight. 4 Points Plus


I earned 4 activity points from an afternoon walk. Food was 48/41 Points Plus, covered by activity points.
